The inside self–
peace, yes,
but also disorder and struggle,
always the pull.
Pull. Pull.
What remains hidden and kept dark, unspoken,
destroys.
What is indulged and nurtured becomes us.
To pull away from the shadows is to be humble, to be vulnerable,
to walk pained paths with a trusted one.
A friend’s care goes deeper than deep to the dark, unspoken places,
and there extends grace,
forgiveness, and
peace.
Deepest of all is “The Friend’s” care. š Like this very much, Lilly. Like the thoughts that are in the spaces, as well as in the words.

Thank you. The tricky part is that the vulnerable coming alongside can hurt as well as heal. The risk.
